The Full Search capability covers only the wine reviews, not associated text. The range of capabilities is wide, but not complete. It will give you all sauvignons up to and including $15 in price, or better still, all sauvignons up to $15 in price and rating four stars or better. Either way, the results are listed with the highest-pointed wines first.

By searching in the Syrah class, and entering Rhone Valley in the Place line it will list for you all the syrahs from the Rhone Valley. By also adding the word viognier into the Text Contains, it will list those Rhone syrahs where I happen to mention that grape in the text, PLUS a few false positives where the text may say there is 'no viognier'. A better line of inquiry would be to put Vi into Text Contains, for I try to be more systematic in the cepage section. Completeness however remains an elusive goal.

It will not list all the wines loosely known as Hawkes Bay Blends, unless that phrase is used in the text of the review. Nor will it tell you where Hawkes Bay Blends are defined on this site, for that was discussed in introductory text to a particular batch of reviews. But it is worth playing with it, to see what it will reveal. Suggestions are welcome, as on the Home Page. Thus far, the capability is limited by the relatively few wines on-site.
